Days 19-24 - July 25 -30 to Coyote Valley (Morgan Hill, CA)
Day 19 - July 25
Hung out with Justin and family. Watched a movie and had take out. Was a wonderful time until I started feeling poorly, like a cold coming on? Hayden had a cold and we figured I caught that. Went to bed after taking a Benedryl as I was having trouble breathing and thought it could also be allergies, although have not have much of that lately.
Day 20 - July 26
Woke up early feeling really poorly and took a test. Sure enough, after being negative and feeling fine for several days, was back in bed. THIS TIME, no Paxlovid as it would do no good this soon after taking it before.
Had to cancel our annual parking in Henk & Vernon's back yard so we can hang out while Roger and Henk enjoy martinis and Vernon and I gossip. I really miss that.
Once again, Roger had to extend our stay so I didn't have to get out of bed. The second time wasn't quite as bad or as long as the second.
Days 21 & 22 - July 27 & 28
Stayed in bed. Said goodbye to Justin, Audrey, August & Chrissie through the window as they left for their High Sierra Scout trip. They looked so cute all in their Scout uniforms. Wish I took a picture, but I was sick in bed and was not thinking clearly. I so wanted to hug them all, but did not want to make them sick and was relieved that I did not give it to any of them as they all were fully vaxed and healthy.
For those wondering, Hayden tested negative so what he had really was just a cold and I did not get it from him.
Day 23 - July 29
Roger got take out for me and had dinner and watched a movie with Hayden and Sam, who stayed behind (from the Scout trip) to work. I felt so bad not being there with them, but did not want to spread my germs.
I felt well enough to pack some things up and prepare for the morning departure. Getting ready to hit the road eastward bound, masked and hoping to test negative before we got to Colorado for our third attempt to visit our friends in Superior.
Coyote Valley RV Resort is really nice, except for their laundry room. The same machines were out of order since last year and it was filthy. EVERYTHING else about the park is really nice. The pool is always clean and the main building has a nice store and hang out areas inside and out. The space is level and spacious and not too close to the next space.
We asked about plugging in and the girl at the front desk said that it was like a "trickle charger" if we plugged in and "wouldn't be worth it." So, we took that as an okay to do it. She was wrong about the trickle charging, btw. It was a 50 amp and we made it to 100% over night. Of course Roger wasn't driving too far while we were in town, but was great the next morning to delay having to stop to charge until we were on the road for a couple of hours.
Our spot was very nice. This photo was taken before the trees matured and shaded the spaces. (grabbed this photo, okay, stole this photo from the website)Morning of July 30th (Day 24), we were on the road again...
